Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (Cape Cod) Receives Legacy Award
June 7, 2007 –Congratulations go out to Sharon Brown, Jane Walsh and the entire staff of Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston’s Cape Cod Practices for being honored with the 2007 Barnstable Senior Center’s Legacy Award. The Legacy Award recognizes a business that has positively impacted the lives of local seniors.At the award ceremony, the center’s director, Elise DeGroot, praised OCB by stating “This organization has really stepped up to the plate for not only the Barnstable Senior Center, but other organizations across town. They have donated equipment, offered seminars, served on boards for many local nonprofits and underwritten the cost of a medical exam room here at the Senior Center”. Sharon Brown, Director of Cape Cod Practices of Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) proudly accepted the Legacy Award on behalf of OCB at an Open House and Boston Post Cane Award Ceremony on Thursday, June 7th, 2007 “This is a wonderful facility and I am thrilled to assist in the expansion of both the building and the programs available” says Ms. Brown.
Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston also received citations from both the State Senate and House of Representatives through Senator Robert O’Leary’s office and from Representative Demetrius Atsalis for receiving the Legacy Award.
Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is a Boston based ophthalmic practice with two satellite facilities in Yarmouth and Sandwich and an ambulatory surgi-center in Sandwich. OCB has been proudly providing eye care to those on Cape Cod and the Islands since May 1991.
