J.D. Daddario and Ferguson Enterprises Inc. merge
A family-owned business serving customers in the Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts region since 1947, J.D Daddario is known as the premier distributor of plumbing, lighting, kitchen and bath products and appliances.
Recently, J.D. Daddario was acquired by Ferguson Enterprises, the country’s largest wholesale distributor and specialist of plumbing supplies and products. This merger will now enable Ferguson/J.D. Daddario to offer customers a wider range of product and services than ever before.
The combination of Ferguson’s purchasing power and broader product selections with J.D. Daddario’s continued focus on customer service, experienced employment base and strong
management structure, makes for a great formula to continue to supply customers with the highest level of service and quality product.
“After a lot of emotional discussion, analysis from a business and industry standpoint, and the comparison of our two operations, we determined that a lot of our strategic goals could be accomplished faster and there would be more opportunities for our employees within the Ferguson organization going forward,” said Jim Daddario, President and General Manager.
J.D. Daddario’s executive team will continue to remain in place and unchanged in the following capacities: Jim Daddario, President and General Manager, Jack Daddario Sr., Senior Consultant; Jack Daddario Jr., Senior Branch Manager; and Keith MacKay, Business Manager/Electrical.

The acquisition has resulted in an expansion of operations to ten Ferguson/J.D. Daddario locations, five containing showrooms, located throughout Greater Boston, Metro-West and Cape Cod.
Ferguson, owned by Wolseley plc (NYSE: WOS), is the country's largest wholesale distributor of plumbing supplies; pipes, valves and fittings; waterworks; building materials; and heating and air conditioning products.
