Turning Point Dance Studio under new management
Turning Pointe Dance Studio is proud to announce that Professional Dancer and Artistic Director, Laura Faria along with local business owner and ballet patron, Faith Fellman, have purchased the Falmouth dance studio and will serve as its directors.
Faria, at only 26, is an accomplished professional dancer who has performed for many ballet companies throughout North America and beyond. She will assume all artistic direction, composition, and programming for the studio. Fellman is the mother of a Turning Pointe alumni and owner of Ocean breeze Vacations in North Falmouth, a successful concierge travel consultant service. She will serve in all administrative, marketing and promotion, community service liaison, and management roles.
“My dream has always been to come home and own a prestigious dance studio,” said Faria. “This is the start of making that dream come true. I am ecstatic!”
Faria is originally from Pocasset, Cape Cod, MA where she began her earliest ballet training at a number of schools including Boston Ballet and Hartford Ballet. Laura received a full scholarship to the prestigious Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, FL where she spent her high school years. Upon graduation she danced with Milwaukee Ballet, Channel Islands Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Ballet Wisconsin and Configuration.
